Thiago Szwarc

I'm a freelance editorial sports photographer, content creator & social media manager based in Montréal, Canada, with a focus on soccer (or as the rest of the world calls it; football). I am fluent in English, French, and Spanish, spoken and written.

In early 2019, at just 13 years of age, I founded TrueNorthFoot, a leading soccer news outlet covering the sport across Canada. As of February 2026, it has accumulated over 10,000 followers combined across its social media platforms, establishing itself as a primary source of Canadian soccer news for fans, players, leagues, officials, and more. I manage its social media presence and the content on the website.

I also gave TrueNorthFoot a distinct visual identity — a modern, clean, and readable graphic style that spans both its social media and website. I built everything on truenorthfoot.ca from the ground up, including a comprehensive database of Canadian soccer matches dating back to 1993, hosting the history of Canadian soccer on the platform while delivering the latest news.

In 2025, I launched TNF Photos, the photography division of TrueNorthFoot, which hosts an extensive archive of Canadian soccer imagery — over 2,000 images across 50 galleries as of February 2026. Today, TrueNorthFoot draws heavily from this archive, making its content almost entirely an in-house production.
